Beach locale + Diner food = Beach Diner. Great place to grab a bite. They serve breakfast & lunch daily but my advice is go for the breakfast; that's what they do best. The coffee is some of the best diner coffee I've had; I go through several cups in one sitting. French toast (no raisins) and a side of cheese grits is still my go-to order, but I've learned to venture out a little bit. I've had their grilled cheese sandwich off the lunch menu and tried the eggs benedict. Both were excellent. I don't think they're doing dinner anymore; it's definitely the place where to start your day, not end it.

I love how the staff is so friendly, and gets to know their customers by name. It's like a family when you walk in, everyone is joking and laughing with each other, I felt as though I got a comedy show with my yummy meal. Very happy, and will definitely come back a lot more!

I've lived in many different cities and travel Very regularly and you can't beat this breakfast/lunch only restaurant. It's casual dress, with families and regular clientele, very clean and nice atmosphere and best yet non-greasy but well prepared dishes, I recommend the Mexican omellete and the soft waffle (not the hard one) with fruit and maple syrup. Sandwiches - any of them are terific. Staff is excellent - friendly and attentive. Yes wait on prime time weekends will be 30-45 mins but they serve you free coffee with outside benches while you wait. Or, safe to sit at breakfast bar without worrying of a nasty person sitting beside you. All diners (though this is more of a charming restaurant) should study this place! So good that even though they don't do dinners they've done wedding receptions and catering at the bequest of clients. Love this place!!

Going to start this review APOLOGIZING..there will be NO PICTURES.. We had one guest almost 45mins late(she is 85/drives herself/so it is a given a HALL PASS)anyways because of that when the food came it was full on starving mode and pictures lost to the WAR CRY of OUR BELLIES. Had I not been sitting there eyeballing all the meals coming out and changing my mind 100 time..THERE WOULD OF BEEN PICS..maybe ;-) I had the Salmon Special Sandwich( Smoked Salmon, Wasabi Cream Cheese, and Avocado on Toasted Marble Rye) I added sprouts.. Since it was breakfast time and I seriously dislike morning food choices I was so FREAK'n HAPPY to be able to order off the Lunch menu. But BD has some of the VERY BEST Home Fries around, I went w/those as they NEVER DISAPPOINT for my side. I was so was glad I did..yum yum yum dipped in datil hot sauce) It was one of the best sandwiches I had had out in some time..Loaded w/smoke salmon..Smothered w/ripe rich yummy creamy slices of Avocado. I wish it had had more of the wasabi cream cheese, but now knowing what I know I would ask for extra. Adding the sprouts gave it the earthy crunch I love to find, and next time I may see if they have Arugula; as that would take it over the top as well for me. I could only eat half so I packed up the rest to bring home..I did do a squirt of lemon on the avocado side(not wanting brown harsh avocado later) Yes, this made one half of the sandwich soggy but when life gives you soggy bread pull out a box of Wheat Thins or a box of Triscuits and you have a cracker sandwich party. NOTHING FROM THAT MEAL WENT TO WASTE!! The other two dishes were Western Omelet and a Cheese Omelet they looked good and every bit of them were eaten as well. So, I am giving those dishes a YAY as well as they seemed to be enjoyed. So if you want to enjoy the BEST Home Fries and like Smoked Salmon..I say make your way to Beach Diner and ENJOY..

We had been up since 5:00 AM for our flight to Florida so we were very hungry when we got here. At 11:30 AM on a Tuesday morning there were only 3 seats at the counter which we quickly agreed to. The staff was super friendly and we were given menus and settings and water right away. Ordered the Eggs benedict, Bayou Benedict and the waffle. Service was fast and the eggs were perfectly poached. The sauce was great and mine was loaded with crab. The side of home fries were good with onions and peppers throughout. We left very happy and satisfied.

If you have not realized it yet from my reviews, there are two things that I really like: the ocean and food. Now when you put the two together you get some amazing results. Sea...food, Surf and...turf, you get the drift (catch the wave may be more appropriate?) So goes it when you add the beach plus a diner... We woke up very early on a weekend morning and headed down to the beach to catch a sunrise. As the sun broke the horizon and the multi color sky put the night behind us we watched as a pod of dolphins frolicked in the surf. The seagulls circled above us while we strolled down the beach, looking for shells and sharks teeth. Life doesn't get any better. Or does it? We pulled into the diner later that morning and sat at a table in the middle. Our waitress provided drinks and hot coffee as we scoured the menu. The choices, the choices... The girls never made it passed the chocolate chip pancakes. I however was having a more difficult time but finally decided on pancakes and eggs with a side of bacon. My wife, the only sensible one in the bunch, ordered a standard two egg breakfast. We no sooner put in our order and had our menus collected when our plates arrived. There was very little conversation for a while as forks hit plates to mouths to plates again. The silence was finally broken when one girl proclaimed, "this is REALLY good." Heads nodded in agreement. I finished my coffee refill as my wife soaked up the last of her eggs over easy with her toast. These are wonderful things, the beach and a good meal and it was a wonderful start to a memorable day.

Great coffee, good breakfast fare. They need to replace the surly blonde who seats people and takes drink orders; her slack jawed approach to customer service sets a bad precedent. Our waitress, on the other hand, was quite good, very personable and attentive. The Ponte Vedra Beach location is in a huge shopping center without much character but plenty of parking. My cousin lives nearby so we popped in for a late breakfast. It was super busy and were told the wait was about 20 minutes, it went much faster though. Inside and outside seating areas available. I had eggs Benedict, they were tasty, one egg was a little over cooked but the other was perfect. Hollandaise sauce was really good. The deep fried 'home fries' were crispy and piping hot. The coffee was blah My cousin had a veggie omelet with Swiss and cheddar cheese. It was a big portion that came with chunky salsa on top as well as home fries and toast. Service was a little slow, I know it was busy but it was still a longer wait for service and food than it should have been.

Great food. Great service. This is our go to breakfast spot! Fresh crab and shrimp Benedict and omelets are a must try. If you are visiting on Sunday, make sure you get there early (before the church crowd gets out) or be prepared to wait a bit. Outdoor seating is available and nice in season.

I usually go to the beach diner location in San Marco and love it however , I did not like this location . The same breakfast burrito I usually get was not as fresh tasting . The overall location seemed very dirty to me . The bathroom was disgusting and the overall restaurant floor was not much better . It is so odd because I thought this location would be just as nice if not nicer based on the area but that is not the case . I highly suggest this restaurant get better management or it will give a bad name to the other beach diners !

I don't understand the fuss. Our food was just not very good. All four of us were severely underwhelmed. If you've only lived in PVB, maybe it passes as a diner but if you've been to a real diner (even store front diners) with great food and service, this one pales in comparison!! I think it's PVB location makes people talk about it positively but not me. Bleh.

We were staying at the Sawgrass Marriott down the street and wanted a yummy brunch place. I had the eggs Benedict and corned beef hash. No complaints here! Nice job on the poached eggs. My friends had the Reuben and the godfather sandwich. The Reuben looked slightly over cooked but the godfather was good. GREAT fries!! The people were nice and the ambiance was very cute, a beach house kind of feel and very clean. Is it to die for? No but it does the trick! They have outdoor seating but the view is of the parking lot.

If there is a better breakfast at this price point, please let me know... Friendly staff and did I mention the food is Great? It is! If you don't get the home fries you're missing out... If your in this area you must eat here!

Came here twice for breakfast in one morning... great eggs benny and coffee and fruit and have wifi- so came early without the kids, ate, worked a bit and then went to get the and came back. They had a nice bright atmosphere, great selection of special breakfasts and very good. Quick, clean , I'll be back again.

The name explains what there are. The beach dinner is a beach/yacht club themed dinner. It's a big place for locals looking for a god breakfast or lunch.

I will start by saying that the food here is decent, but the menu seemed to exaggerate the greatness of their food. The food here isn't bad, but it's definitely missing something.

Great place for diner food. I went there with my brother for a quick lunch. I had the bagel and lox sandwich. The lox was piled high and the bagel was very fresh and delicious. Our waitress, Pat, was great and took very good care of us. The menu is very large and the prices are affordable. When I am in Jacksonville again I will go back to Beach Diner for sure.

Bleh.

Love the breakfast menu with lots of choices. I had the C S X sandwich. Hubby had western omelet. All yummy. GREAT service, reasonable prices, terrific selections...Nice happy people here.

We had blackened salmon and eggs for breakfast with homemade dill sauce. Best ever. We are repeat customers. Neighborhood jewel.

Visited the Beach Diner while on vacation. Recommend highly. Service was excellent and efficient. Food was great. What more do you need?
(4)Chelsea H.
Decent breakfast, good portions and nice staff. Good place but gets busy on the weekends.

Dropped in for breakfast, during conference at Sawgrass. Surprisingly good, quick and clean.

It's good to be able to count on three things when you're out for breakfast: fast service, good coffee, and perfectly prepared eggs. My eggs were poached perfectly with my corned beef hash and grits.

For a diner...it is decent. Curious to try some new items but would love for them to be more intune with gluten issues.

Great food aand fast, friendly service. Corned beef hash, eggs and the thick toast were highlights. All of the food was great!

Best breakfast in PVB. Great pricing, quick service, delicious meals. I have only been for breakfast, but I would imagine lunch is just as good!

We come here regularly on the weekends and just love it! Great staff (they recognize us and call us by name)! Great food - try the chunky chicken melt & you won't be disappointed!
